España & learning a language

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to be talking to you about my past with España (Spanish), I just thought it would be good to tell you my past with Spanish and learning a language in general.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- I have been doing Spanish for about 5 1/2 - 6 years, I have always enjoyed Spanish and I can't believe how long I have done it for :O

- I started doing Spanish in year 4, But this was just the basics in a convocation.

- When I was in year 7 going into year 8 you could choose wether you do Spanish or French, and logically I choose spanish because it would be stupid to start a new language, when I prefer the other one and have done it for a long time

- And I must enjoy doing Spanish because I am taking it for GCSE (scary)

Learning a language

So learning a language isn't easy I have to admit, But there are things you can do to make it easier, just remember we all learn and take things in differently.

1. Find out what your learn better from.

By this is mean we all earn differently, for example some of us are Kinaesthetic earners and so on. I learn better from saying and writing it, And when your learning a language take notes in that way, So if your in class and you have to write down notes you may want to do a poster on it because you learn better in that way.

2. Write everything down.

This means write down everything you see and feel you may need in time to come, I fly through Spanish books because I am the sort of person to write down every single bit on the board, Your better of writing so much in your books then not having enough.

3. Ask your teacher.

My Spanish teacher must be sick of me (joke) because if I don't understand her I will go and ask her, Or if I have a problem I will go back to her after class, Because your better off knowing what it means then having a random word in your books or stuck in your head, Your teachers are their to help you achieve so take advantage of what you have of them, They will be much better if you come after school or something to understand something then to not bother.

4. Practise makes perfect

Old saying... Right, Well it a very true one, The more you practise the better you will get at it, it work so well for a language and if you keep saying and writing it then your going to get it stuck in your head.

5. Find websites and apps

So I even asked my Spanish teacher what is the best way to learn out of class, And she recommended me to download app and I have a favourite one by Mindsnacks it just called Spanish, Type Mindsnacks Spanish, She also said that on BBC schools they have a Spanish section and if you listen to a Spanish short clip of a film then your going to know what is happening if you do Cinderella for example so you can kind of translate it From what your know, She also said that Rosetta Stone and teacher programmes aren't worth the money because my mum was going to buy me Rosetta Stone but she said its not worth all the money and you can get better things for cheaper.

Hope thins helped, Off to watch Geordie Shore

Thank you
Shelby'xo
