My Favourite Books

Hello everyone,

As I have gotten older I have gotten into reading more, when I was in primary/junior school I hated reading! I remember the only books I loved reading were Diary of a wimpy kid, which is a major throwback. But I have enough books now to share with you what my favourites are.

To begin with do you prefer reading a physical book in your hand, or do you prefer e-readers. I have to say I like both, but depending on the book I prefer having the actual copy of especially if it's more visual.

Love Tanya - Tanya Burr

This was the first book from the youtuber Tanya Burr, the reason why this is one of my favourites, is because she has multiple chapters that range from her childhood all the way to makeup. It's so diverse and is everything I love reading about all in one place, it was so interesting to read more about her life especially behind youtube.

Me Me Me - Charlotte Crosby

If you don't know who Charlotte Crosby is... then where have you been all these years. She's a television personality most famous for being on Geordie Shore. This book was just so nice to hear about her life before and after Geordie Shore, including all the gossip and behind the scenes. I love her as a person and what she has achieved, and this book has made me love her even more.

Juvie - Steve Watkins

This was a book that interested me, I wasn't entirely sure wether it would be for me but it was intriguing. I really enjoyed reading this as it was so different for me, it was such a different story to what I am used to. It felt like an older book for me, but it was one I didn't want to put down. I would defiantly recommend reading this as it has more of a story behind it then you'd think. (Book review here)

The Fault In Our Stars - John Green

Everyone must of read or seen this book by now! I defiantly preferred the book to the film which is unlikely for me to normally say. This was such a good book, the story was so different but it felt so real. I can't recommend this book enough to anyone, I think it's a great read for all ages from teenagers to adults! It is a sad one especially if you've seen the film, but it's one of the best.

Wonder - Raquel J. Palacio

This was a book I was recommend to get from a friend, we all have that one friend that we can rely on for a good book recommendation. Well she didn't let me down, this was something unlike i've read before, it was so interesting but the story was so good behind it. This book changes your emotions after every page, one second your laughing and the next your moved to tears, you know a book is this good when you feel every emotion while reading it. The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-time - Mark Haddon

I first of all read this book in maybe year 7/8, and I really took a liking to it which was so suprsingly as it was an actual book. I brought this book a few years back when I was going to Turkey, and I think since then I have re read it about 4 times? For me to re read a book more than once is a surprise in its self, letting no 4 times! This was just amazing, I can't explain enough to you how good this book was, it's a brilliant and heart warming book.

The next book I am to finish is Paper Towns by John Green!

My Future Listography: All I hope to do in lists

Hello everyone,

I have had this book for a while now called My future listography, all I hope to do in lists. I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the book and just some of my answers to the questions. I would recommend this book for the people who love lists obviously, but the ones to like to plan their future...

I brought this book from Amazon, after looking for some books that are planning for the future based, this one came up a few times with a lot of different variations, I remember Louise talking about this book but the lover version, she really rater the book so I thought to take the plunge and buy it. This is £8.99 and is a great book to just spend a few minutes flicking through.

This book has up to 160 pages full of things for you to make lists on! Some of the questions are really random but other really make you think. Here are a few examples:

• List parties you'd enjoy throwing
• List other lives you'd want to lead if you had nine lives
• List recipes you want to try
• List things you'd like to collect
• List things to explore online 
• and many more...

When I first got this book I was obsessed with it to be honest, a lot of the times my mum and I have just sat answering the questions to each other, I have also done this with a few of my friends because it's a great thing to talk about, it's instructing to hear peoples answers as well. My favourite question in the whole book is on page 147 and it's List where you see yourself in five years, ten years and twenty-five year. It gets you excited for the future and to really sit and think about what you'd love to do and where you see yourself.

My other favourite thing about this book is definitely the quality of it, I love the details in the book such as the graphics they are cute, but they also prompt you with ideas of what to write. The book is a good size as well with good quality paper, it has a nice weight to it as well which makes it seem more expensive. I would definitely say this is a coffee table book, as I said above it sparks conversation.

Overall I love this book and think it's amazing quality, I think this is the perfect book for the fellow listers as well as the ones who think about the future; like myself. I would give this 5/5 as my rating because it's something I like doing to pass the time as well as it's a nice thing to keep for the future!

Wonder and Juive Book Review

Hello everyone,

I have two book reviews for you today, I thought I would do this now then I will review my two other books once I have finished them both. I am reviewing Wonder by R.J Palacio and Juvie by Steve Watkins, I brought both of these books from Asda which was only 2 for £7, including these books and many more.

Wonder - R.J Palacio

Overall rating - 9/10

I started reading this book on the way to America on a 9 hour flight, I got into this book right away once I picked it up I couldn't put it back down again. I love the way this books is written as in it gives you the story in the perspective of some of the characters, it gives it a more realistic and personal feeling to the book, this is what makes it really addictive.

I am also a massive fan of this book because it is a very different story to your typical school/education set books. I love the story because it's about a boy who was born with some differences to his face, it's about him wanting to go to school and trying to fit in. What drawn me to this book was the fact it's meant to be very similar to The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nightime, which is one of my favourite books ever.

I would highly recommend this book if you love young adult based books, this is a brilliant book that you'll be hocked on for a long time. I am also not a big reader as some of you may know but I read this book in just over a week.

Juvie - Steve Watkins

Overall rating - 7.5/10

I started reading this as soon as I finished wonder and I read it in around 2 and a bit days. This is about two sisters who end up going to a party, and about one of the sisters doing time in Juvie to protect her sister and her niece. 

I really did enjoy this book again because it was different from any other book I have read, this is a young adult book again. The only thing that let me down on this book was it was very jam packed with a lot of different events, this is also different because it's written in a diary entry form but one chapter will be her life before Juvie them in the next chapter it switches to her life in juvie.

I do like this book because it has a lot of different factors that she has to keep in mind. It also makes you think a lot wether you'd do time for a sister/family member. It shows how her life changes since being in juvie and how it will affect her career.

I would recommend this book highly if you love young adult books about teenagers and situations in a family relationship.

Miami Day 7 - Sunrise, Macaron and Books

Hello everyone,

This is the last day of Miami, I am so sad to be leaving tomorrow it has been wonderful here and I never want to leave but I will be coming back. Today we was just popped to Walgreens and just went into a shop or two.

Last night I was saying how I always wanted to see a sunrise but a good one! Once I found out that the sunrises the way our room is I made the effort to get up at 6:35, sunrise was at 18 minutes to 7. 

It was very pretty and exactly what I imagined it to be, it was worth the early start. I also tried to take a time lapse of it but it didn't work as well as I expected it to.

About mid day be took a stroll down to Chez Bon Bon, I had my eye on  this Macaron for the whole time we have been here, it's a gluten free raspberry macaron, it was amazing! The nicest macaron I have had, it was $5.95 and worth every penny.

Then we went looking for a book and came across this book shop called Books and Books (Click here), we went to the one on Lincoln Road Mall Miami Beach. I have to say it was the nicest book shop I have ever been to, it was very vintage looking with people sitting down and reading through books, they had a massive selection of every book imaginable from 50 shades to the hungry caterpillar. 

I was lost without a book since I finished reading both of mine that I brought with me, this was the whole reason for the adventure to find a book shop. I brought Paper Towns by John Green, I had wanted to read this book since reading The Fault In Our Stars. I will probably do a book review on all 3 of the books after I have read this one.

Miami Day 3 - Shopping and Chilling

Hello everyone,

For Miami day 3 we decided to head over to the Sawgrass Mills Outlet  centre to pop into a few shops I only got a few things from Victoria's Secret because they were having a crazy sale!

This was the view this morning from our balcony, I also love this Snapchat stickers their so cute! The sea looked beautiful with this lovely gradient as the sea gets deeper.

I thought I would take a lovely picture of my VS bag against the view this evening, as I said the sale was so good, they had some body sprays for $5 and the lip glosses 7 for $24, the prices are much better over here compared to back in the UK, also the prices were even better because it was an outlet.

I also mentioned the book I was reading yesterday, well I have been reading it for a week and now I have finished it! It was a lovely book with a very meaningful story behind it. This is a great read and I would high recommend it, I may do a book review on it this month. I am now onto reading Juvie by Steven Watkins.

This is the view this evening I thought I would show you what I am currently looking at! I love sitting on the balcony looking our at this beautiful sea.
