Prom Dress Shopping & My Dress

Hello everyone,

Last weekend I went into town because I wanted to try on some prom dresses but I wasn't going to buy any. I tried some dresses on from Quiz, Lipsy and Coast. But I obviously wanted to share this experience as well as making it as something I can look back on.

A few of the dresses I tried on:

Before trying an dresses on I had a clear image in my head of what I wanted, I really loves dresses with cut outs. I found some dresses on a website on Victoria's Dresses, but I kept going from wanting a prom dress with sparkle to a elegant ball gown type dress.

This was one dress I have had in mind for a few months now, this is from Lipsy, it's a black straight dress with a mesh cut out on the stomach, with mesh sides going down to the bottom but a underskirt to give you some privacy. But on the back it has a massive cut on, the cut out stops at the bottom of your back. My thoughts on this dress is that it didn't scream prom, it looks like dress to a black tie event, I did think of making it look prom appropriate by adding a sparkly clutch and jazzing it up, but then I didn't want to take the attention away from the dress it's self. This dress was so comfortable to wear, and perfect if your not a fan of strapless dresses, you also wouldn't have to worry about this when dancing etc. But because I am quite tall their wasn't enough room for heels because it was already touching the floor. I think this dress is under £100.

This was my second choice of dress from Lipsy, this is a very gentle sweetheart neckline, with crystals and rhinestones on the top and the right side of your stomach. Where the side crystals are their is rousing, this emphasis your waist and hips a lot. But this dress also have a slit which doesn't come up really high up. I liked this dress but again I felt as if I was going to a black tie even in it, it looked more prom appropriate but not what I was looking for. Then  something I didn't like about the dress was the exposed zip, it was very obvious, but at the same time it had a butterfly zip which made the dress look cheaper in my opinion. It's a lovely dress but not what I was looking for, the material was very soft and felt lovely, as well as the fit and very comfortable. But if your someone who struggles or doesn't like strapless dresses this is strapless but it may come with straps. This dress is £130.

Lastly from Lipsy I tried on this floral black, fish tail bottom dress. This felt very nice with the bandeau top, this also had a plain black back. This dress looks much better on than off, but I love this dress up until the fish tail, it just doesn't look right and it doesn't suite the dress in my opinion, but it fits very nice and comfortable, but the material just feels like a summer wedding dress, and it's quite hard to walk it but comfortable when you sit down. Also this dress is strapless but I think it comes with straps i'm not too sure. This dress is £80.

My Prom Dress:

This is my prom dress, it is from Coast and was in the sale from £350 to £150 to £92. This is a beautiful maxi dress, with a lace bode with emphasised cups. This is called the Lisbeth maxi dress they call it Silver, but it isn't.

This dress also come with attachable spaghetti straps, which is great if your more comfortable with a dress with straps. This is the main pattern of the dress and a uncles version. It's is very feminine and chic, but at the same time very delicate and pretty at the same time. On the back it has the same pattern throughout.

So the prom series has started, I hope you like my dress. Also tell me what shoes, jewellery, hair and makeup you think would look best with my dress?

Birthday and Christas Wish list

Hello everyone,

Christmas is 66 days away and 6 days till my birthday! I thought I would share with you what I would love Santa to bring me this year. This is a wish list I am not saying I am getting everything or any of it.

Birthday and Christas Wish list

The biggest thing on my list is a Macbook Air 13.3", I need a new laptop. The reason why I have put money next to it, is because I am asking for money off family etc, so I can 'save' up for one. But next I am hoping for the Pandora Princess Tiara ring to match the 'My Princess' charm, this is stunning I tried it on yesterday and it looks stunning on your middle finger! I have a quite a lot of mac lip products on my wish list, this consists of Whirl Lip Pencil and Faux Lip Stick, this is Kylie Jenner's go to lip combination at the moment, and it looks stunning. Then the other two lip products I would like is the Spice Lip Pencil and Plumful Lip Stick. Moving swiftly onto clothes I have been lusting over the Topshop Black Joni Jeans for the longest time, these would look perfect with these Boohoo Chunky Chelsea Boots. Last but no least I have been wanting the Benefit Lip/Cheek stains and the tinted lip balms for so long, they look amazing and this gift set is perfect, it's called the Sweet Tintations.

I would love to know what your asking for Christmas! Comment below.

Let's Travel// Packing Tips & Haul

Hello everyone,

Welcome to another let's travel post, today I am going to be talking about my packing tips, these are a few things I have picked up along the way. Also I brought a few things today and I want to share them with you.

A few things I brought//

Both necklaces are from next left one was £12 and the one of the right was £18.

I then went to Topshop and brought this crochet top which was £25. Then another pair of Joni Jeans which were £38, you can have the bottoms rolled or not.

My Packing tips//

1. My first tip is to roll your clothes. I find this so much easier especially at the bottom of your suitcase to level everything out. Also by you folding clothes this means they don't get creased and your have more room.

2. When I pack necklaces, it's hell taking them out. But now what I do is thread my necklaces through a straw, then put them in a separate pouch. This means they won't get tangled/broken.

3. I have my mum to thank for this tip, and this is great for not forgetting anything. What we do is a list, but we do it in order of how we get dresses for example, when we get in the back we need ... and so on.
4. This is something I love to do when I am packing, smaller clothing items like socks, knickers, bikini bottoms etc. What I do is put my smaller things into my shoes, this really helps because you are saving space. Also if I have a hat in my suitcase I stuff it with anything small to keep it's shape then place it in my case.

5. This may be a obvious tip to some. But when you are packing your toiletries try, try and get products that stay shut, or place them into a wash bag or even a plastic bag/ zip lock bag. This is to make sure nothing spills anywhere. Or if you have some products that open randomly or you just want to be safe, then tape your products just in case.

6. We all have them tops, skirts etc, that have sequins/glitter or some sort of extra detail that we would never want to get ruined. Well the best think is for this is to turn that item inside out just so nothing falls off or gets onto something else.

7. My next tip is something very basic. But if you are taking older shoes with you, then I reccomend that you either put them in a bag or wrap them inside a towel. Also you could put your flip flops or sandals on the side of your case with the sole against the case, or you could put them in that separate compartment on the other side of your case.

8. This tip depends on the person. If you are coming home and packing your case, I tend to leave some of my toiletries at the hotel so it means it's less weight and space bringing back with you. Obviously this depends as I said on what the products is and whether you want to bring it back with you or not.

9. I have another basic tip, and this is for your delicate items like perfumes or anything you don't want to break, but take up too much room in a bag or example. What I like to do is pack it right in the middle of my case surrounded by clothes, or I pack it in my towel. This means nothing will get broken and it will have some 'pillow' for protection.

10. My final tip is again something basic and this is to pack your toiletries as small as possible. When I am travelling I try and only have a maximum of 5 full size items, the rest I can get minis for I can pour it into a travel size bottle. This saves so much room and it makes your bag so much lighter.

Finally I am going to talk about some blogs/videos or anything I have found useful about travelling/packing.
