2014 Beauty Discoveries

Hello everyone,

Well I didn't really know what I wanted to talk about for blogmas today, but I got an idea of Anna's recent blog post (link), and thought what a brilliant idea it is. This means I am going to show you my favourite beauty discoveries of 2014, they are different to what I mentioned in my overall 2014 favourites, and their are 5!

My top 5 beauty discoveries of 2014...

Their would have been many more favourites but I didn't want to repeat myself through these two 2014 favourites posts. I would have mentioned more in this but some were already mentioned in my last post.

I am going to start off with my favourite beauty discoveries which is the Tarte amazonian clay blush, this is in the colour doll face. This is a beautiful soft matte pink, this is very wearable during any month and great for a everyday blush. But you can wear this during the evening if you was to pair it with a highlighter, like Mac's soft and gentle.

While I am on the topics of blush I will carry on with my second one, this is the Topshop cream blush in Illicit, I have tried their blush in head over hells and is less wearable. But this is a wearable brown/coral, which has some slight shimmer, perfect for the warmer months.

Onto powder, this is something I got in a set from Bare Minerals, and this is the bare minerals mineral veil. I was too sure what to make of this at the start, but I have turned out to love it. This is the original one and is great for making yourself look more awake, this is a very fine powder while being loose, you can dust this over your skin look more glowing. While it isn't the most travel friendly, because it's loose it does really make a difference and is worth the hassle in the morning without it flying every where.

I couldn't go without mentioning this lipstick from Mac, this is creme cup in the picture, but released I talked about that in my last post. But I am going to talk about this and Angel, Creme Cup is a great your lips but better colour, where as Angel in still wearable but has more pink in the colour. It all depends what you prefer, pink then Angel or coral/nude then Creme cup.

Lastly onto a hair care product, this is the Dove Oxygen Moisture root lift spray. I heard Amelia Liana mention this in a video/blog post and said it was amazing. And long story short I agree with that comment, I have fine hair that hasn't got the best volume at times, but this changes that. It makes my hair look full and bouncy; I spray this into the roots of damp hair, then blow-dry it or let it dry naturally; I get the same outcome and it looks like I am have paid £50 for a professional blow dry.

What are your little beauty gems you have discovered this year? Comment below!

My favourites of 2014!

Hello everyone,

I can't quite believe that we are coming to the end of 2014, this year has gone so quick and because it's coming to the end this means a favourites of 2014 post!

My favourites -

Makeup -

My first makeup favourite of 2014, has to be the Benefit Gimme Brow, this is a wonderful product that fills in, defines and cares of your brows! This looks so natural and only takes a few seconds to transform your brows. This can be used on it's own or over over products to set them in place.

Onto a lipstick, this is Mac's Lipstick in Creme cup, this is a great everyday lipstick and I have got a lot of use out of it since I brought it in August. It's a pigmented baby/nude pink, this is very creamy hence it being a cremesheen.

I think I found one of my favourite foundations through out this year, and it's the Bourjois 123 perfect, this is a correcting foundation with three pigments, yellow for anti-dark circles, mauve for anti-dull complexion and green for anti-redness. This is a great drugstore foundation, because it looks natural and helps to prefect any imperfections.

A powder that has had a lot of hype this year, is the Soap and glory one heck of a blot. This is a translucent and fine powder to help mattify your skin, what I love about this the most is that it doesn't add any colour to your skin, and doesn't make you look orange or even too pale, because one colour fits all.

The Nuxe Reve De Miel lip balm is great, it's a perfect all rounder, perfect for under lip products, perfect for dry and cracked lips but also it excels for hydrating your lips. This is one of the best lip balms I have tried, and I love this for every day.

Moving back onto Bourjois, I brought quite a lot of their Colour Boost glossy finish lip sticks. And long story short I have fallen in love with the two colours Orange punch (03) and Plum Russian (06), they are very glossy and look lovely on the lips, because they are a glossy lipstick they don't stay on the lips that well, but they are so easy to re apply that I don't mind topping them up.

Their is one mascara that I love, and that I will love for a long time, this is Benefit's They're real. A great mascara for getting length, but holding a curl and giving great volume!

Another lip product, this time from Sleek, this is their Matte Me lip creme in the colour Petal (435). This is a very pigment matte pink which is more of a baby pink. This looks matte and beautiful on the lips, and has great staying power.

Another lip product I love which is the Lush Santa's lip scrub, this is a paste scrub which work miracles at keeping your lips looks good, and is great at the dry and cracked areas on your lips. This is limited edition for Christmas, but all the other lip scrubs are just as good,

The HD Brows eye brown and eye shadow palette is great for travelling. It has a lot of neutral matte colours perfect for a every day eye look, but you can also use the colour to define your brows. It does a good job at filling in your brows, and then if you use the Benefit Gimme Brow on top, your brow game is very strong!

Lastly is a makeup product that is a stand out of 2014, or my ultimate product of this year! This is the Benefit Brow Zings brow shaping kit. This comes with a powder to fill in your brows, a wax to set everything, a hard angle brush to use with the powder, a blending brush to use with the wax and a mini pair of tweezers for any star hairs. This is in my eye a brow changing product.

Hair -

I have liked using the Toni & Guy sea salt spray for a few years now, but through out this year I have been using it more and in different ways. This gives great texture, and beach waves. One way I like using it is to spray it in the mid lengths of my hair, throw my hair in a bun on my head, then take out when finished getting ready. Or even curling my hair, then applying this in after to make the curls more rough and and beachy.

Something more recent, this is the COLAB dry shampoo in the scent New York, this is much better than Batiste dry shampoo. This one adds more body, volume and doesn't dry out your hair, it smells amazing and is by far the best one I have tried.

Scent -

A perfume I have recently brought is the Philosophy celebrate grace fragrance, this is a hard one to describe but smells fresh and fruity, but with a slight hint of floral. A great scent for everyday and one to throw on.

Onto a body spray, this is the Victoria's Secret Endless Love body mist. This smells like Herbal Essences shampoo, and is very fruity. It is meant to smell like apple blossom and ylang ylang.

Skincare -

This year I have fallen in love with one skin care brand, which is Ren! I brought one of their sets a few months ago and haven't looked back since. The Hot Cloth Cleanser is perfect for a mini pamper session every night when taking my makeup off, it feels amazing and takes off your makeup like no other.

Another Ren product is the Daily Supplement moisturising cream. This is my day time moisturiser, it hydrates and doesn't dry out. A little bit goes a long way but also it sits nicely under makeup.

Onto a skin care item I have mentioned loads of times, this is the Palmers Cocoa Butter, and my saving grace. Perfect for any thing, for hydrating dry areas from hands to face, or even using as a after sun.

Jewellery/Fashion -

I got given a Michael Kors bracelet when my dad and step mum went to America. I have loved it since the day I got it, it is a leather wrap bracelet with the MK in the centre, this is gold and is perfect with my Michael Kors pieces.

They are my products of 2014! Have you tried any, also I want to know what are your products of 2014? Comment below

Small Superdrug and Lush Haul

Hello everyone,

I have a small haul for you to night, I have been Christmas shopping today and I picked up some very exciting things for myself. I am so excited to start Christmas shopping again, because I can start doing gift guides. I was wondering if you would want me to do Christmas buying haul, then a gift guide in November, because then you can see everything we're buying?

As you can see very small, but two of these things are very exciting in the blogging/youtube world.

I poped into Lush today for some Christmas presents, and decided to kick off the 'festive season' now with the Melting Snowman Bath Melt. This smells like cinnamon, spices and Christmas. Now the most exciting things every are from Zoella Beauty and COLAB. The first thing is from Blogger and youtuber Zoe Sugg's bath/body range, I picked up her Blissfull Mistfull Body Mist, this is the cutest packaging ever, I am so proud to own one of Zoe's products, everything is perfect and down to a T. Lastly is something from Ruth Crilly, she has brought out her own Dry Shampoo range, I picked up the 200ml in the scent New York. The scent and packaging is very modern and classy.

Have you tried these yet? Comment below

My Pamper Favourites

Hello everyone,

I thought I would share my Pampering favourites with you! I love to have a pamper day or a few hours, this is always on a Sunday before another new week at school.

Around mid day time I apply a hair mask, and try to let it sit in their for a few hours at least. I love the Body Shop Rainforest Moisturising Hair Butter, this leaves my hair feeling to hydrated and feeling very soft. (£8.00 - Link)

Then before I run a bath I apply a face mask, I have been using the Boots Botanics Shine Away Clay Mask. I leave this on for as long as I am in the bath for, this makes my skin feel a lot less oily and takes the shine away. (£6.99 - Link)

A pamper session isn't the same without a bath bomb. I have a Lush one because in my opinion they are the best, this one is called Big Blue. This looks and feels amazing in the bath, also this makes a bath feel a bit more luxurious. (£3.25 - Link

I love burning candles in the bath, they look so pretty with the lights off, and smell amazing! I have a Yankee Candle Large Jar Candle in Bunny Cake. This is something they don't sell anymore but any candle from them is amazing! (£19.99 - Link)

Having my shower gel and body scrub matching is a dream, I was using the Mango Sugar body scrub and the Mango Shower Gel. These smell amazing and feel amzing on the skin, you can 100% that they are working. (£4.00 - Link and £13.00 - Link)

August Favourites 2014

Hello everyone,

I have a monthly favourites post! I haven't done one of these in ages but just haven't felt as if their was a lot to show. But I can't believe we are in September already, this year is going so quick.

Where do I start...

When I was on the plane going to Turkey I brought a new perfume, which is Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight. This is a very summery scent, I would describe it was a fruity floral, with top notes of Raspberry, Grapefruit and Pear. This is a perfect day scent.

On holiday their was only one blush and bronzer I was using, these are the Benefit Rocakteur and Hoola Boxed Powders, these are just perfect the blush gives you a natural rose gold flush, and Hoola gives you a lovely defined contour but natural, also good for all over bronzing.

The Sleek Matte Me in Petal, has been my go to lip product ever since I got it. This is the perfect light pink matte lip cream, this stays on for a good time and just look great.

Moving onto brows, I have been starting off using the Anastasia Brow Wiz to fill in my brows before I use my Brow Zings. This just makes your brows looks very defined and lovely. Then to highlight I have been using the Benefit High Brow Glow on the brow bone, one word perfect!

I have had this sample for a few months now but never really used it. This is Benefit's It's Potent eye cream, this is very moisturizing and rich for under the eyes, I use this morning and night and sits lovely under makeup.

On holiday I was wearing eye shadow a lot more, and for this I was using the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I have been really liking this for a very natural eye, perfect for everyday. I have been wearing Venus all over the eye, Naked 2 in the crease and Faint in the outer V, also using Venus to highlight. So many options to choose from.

After sun is key when on holiday, and the Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Body Butter is amazing. It's rich and creamy without being too thick not to rub in. But this smells amazing and really hydrates your skin.

I have a great combination here, this is the Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, but to make it a light coverage I have been mixing the Nivea Light Moisturiser Day cream with it. This is just perfect together, very natural and light on the skin. If your wondering I add a decent amount to cover my face of the foundation, then I add a sweetcorn size amount of moisturiser and mix together.

Going back to scents, I have been wearing the Victoria's Secret Endless Love body spray a lot, I love throwing it in my bag and topping up during the day. It just smells amazing, I would definitely reccomend this.

A primer I have been using quite a lot if the Bare Minerals Prime Time face primer, this just makes my skin feel really soft and makes putting my makeup on look nicer and last longer aswell.

You know how much I love the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula lip balm (Original), it's great makes your lips so smooth and hydrated and it's just amazing, but very cheap aswell.

In Turkey it was very hot, and the Avene Thermal Spring Water was a life savoir! This is a really fine mist that is just amazing for cooling yourself down, I also have the mini one for my handbag, this takes a few seconds to dry but that's it.

I have a hair favourite, this is the Dove Style + Care Serum, you can apply this onto damp or dry hair, and it hydrates your ends a lot. When I was in Turkey I was using this everyday and my hair was very hydrated for a hot climate. This is just very good and you only need a little bit, so it will last you forever.

Also Taylor Swift, her performance of Shake It Off was so good and quite funny. But the biggest stand out for me was Miley Cyrus, she done the nicest thing letting this man collect an award for Miley but also share his story about being homeless, and Miley crying topped it for me.

Also I finished the book The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime, this is a book by Mark Haddon. I love this book I have read it twice now and I just love it because it's such an easy read. Also I an nearly finished with The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.
