Book Review - Love Tanya by Tanya Burr

I have an extra blog post for you today, and this is a book review! I have never done a book review yet, but this is going to be on a very new book released by fellow blogger and youtube Tanya Burr. This is her first book she has created called Love Tanya.

This book is only currently £6.49 from Amazon (Link), this is a hardcover book about the size of A5 but larger. The front cover of this book it beautiful, and really represents Tanya, it has pictures from the childhood, to holiday, and lastly her and Jim. This has a very clean feel about the cover, especially the layout of the pictures against a white cover. 

This is the contents page of Love Tanya, as you can see this features everything we would want to know and read, it covers every basis from skin care, hair care and to early life. The chapters of this book are:

- Growing Up: Part Two
- Skincare Essentials
- Make-up Essentials
- Hair and Nail Essentials
- Fashion
- Love
- Life
- Baking & Recipes
- Confidence & Happiness

Also along with two sub chapters Love Tanya and Acknowledgements.

This is how the chapters are based out, on the left hand side their are beautiful photos of Tanya herself, and on the right the name of the chapter in a lovely fancy font. The photos are amazing, they looks flawless as well they are reflecting some of the chapters, like this features on makeup brushes etc.

Also in each chapter, Tanya writes on the first page a bit about the chapter, and what to expect. The towards the end of the chapter their is a Top 10... for example their are Top 10 makeup products, Top 10 baking tips etc. This is such a good idea, because she also talks a bit about each favourite, this is easy to read if your looking for some quick tips.

Also on the end of each chapter, their is also some Notes sections, which asks you to list your things that aspire you to be fearless at.... This is a interactive way and makes the book feel like a diary or notebook. This is a really good idea if you want to jot down any ideas or things that you want that has been mentioned in the book.

Lastly, this is what each page looks like. As you can see on the left hand side Tanya mentions a few things about the upcoming chapter or some helpful invites to the chapter. Also I wanted to mention the font and text size, the font it a wonderful casual but classy look font and the size is perfect for reading. Also the background on the books are very cool toned with some pages coloured more than others.

My opinions -

My favourite chapters in the book were all of them, but mainly the ones I love the most were the growing up because it was nice to ready about Tanya when she was my age, and the things that happened and what she done. It also reminds you at how successful she has been and was a girl from a not so well known area. Also I enjoyed the Love and Life section because it was cute to hear about friendships and Jim. My last two most favourite chapter were Confidence and Happiness as well as Looking Forwards. just because i could relate to these the most regarding stress and panic attacks, as well as achieving your dreams it has made me really have a deep think and motivated me to achieve my dreams.

This book is so good that I had finished it with in 5 days of getting it, I have never been a massive reader and to say this book has made me like reading more but also inspired me to do well. I would recommend this book to everyone because it's truly amazing, it's well written and relatable. I especially felt more comfortable reading this book because of reading Tanyaburr.co.uk, it felt like a massive blog post! Overall I would rate this book a 10 out of 10 for obvious reasons!

I hope you enjoyed this, and now want to pick up Love Tanya because it's the best book I have read!

I saw Amelia and Estee make this tag and I had to do it, and it's all about lip products, from you favourite balm to you highend favourite. And of course I have more than one for some questions but oh well.

I am a lip product addict.

1. Favourite balm/treatment? - My favourite lip balms are the Burt's Bees nourishing lip butter with Mango and the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula original lip balm. These are both amazing hydrating lip balms, they feel amazing under and over lipsticks, with a lip scrub they are the perfect two.  

2. Best eye-catching red? - I am not a big red fan, I prefer more of a sheer red. I have choosen the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Plum Jam. This is an amazing every day red not too bright or dark. I really want to try more red lipsticks, if you have any favouirtes leave them below.

3. Best luxury & best drugstore? - This was the easiest question to answer, my drugstore favouirte is the Revlon matte lipstick in Pink Pout, this is one of my first lipsticks and I wear it all the time; perfect for everyday. My high end lipsticks are the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 74 and 70, the packaging is stunning and the colours are great for everyday. 74 (Parfait) is a perfect light pink with a hint of pink shimmer. And 70 (Sourire) this is a great pink for everyday with slight shimmer. These are amazing lipsticks for everyday and I would highly reccomend these lipsticks.

4. Best MAC lipstick? - This was really easy for my to choosen and Angle (Frost) is my favourite, this is the best everyday lipsticks, this looks amazing with every look, it doesn't look over the top or too nude. This is great if your looking for a pinky nude lipsticks for everyday.

5. The most disappointing? - My most dissapointing lip product is going to come to a shock to some, but it's the NYX Mega Shine lipgloss in La La, the colour isn't too bad but I don't lip the smell, I find these quite sticky aswell. Also I don't like the packaging either. I want to try another colour the one Beige I think.

6. Liner, yes or no? - I have to admit I am not the biggest lip liner fan, but I do wear it sometimes if I really want a lipstick to last. My go to one is the Rimmel Exaggerate Liner in 003 Eastend Snob. I brought this because Sammi recommended the Revlon lipstick and said this looks amazing under it and it does. 

7. Best gloss? - I have picked a drugstore which is the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in First Date, this is a perfect baby/pale pink, this looks great over Mac's Angel, this smells amazing and is not sticky. My highend favouirte is the Chanel Lipgloss in 166, this is stunning and looks amazing on it's own and over lipsticks.

8. Something Extra! - For something extra I have chosen the Revlon Lip in Sweet Tart, I have mentioned this in a posts and this looks great dabbed in for everyday and applied generously for a brighter more daring look.

My Everyday Lip Combo's

I have taken a little break today from revising, I have been loving my makeup this week, it is very natural and I love it. But I think your lip colour of choice gives different vibes of your entire look, and I have found my favourite lip combo's these are one high end and one drugstore, and my everyday combo's.

Drugstore//

I have been in love with this lipstick since I started my blog, this is Revlon Pink Pout, this is a matte lipstick and is the perfect light pink. I love how flattering this lipstick is and it looks amazing for everyday and every look. For my Lip gloss of choice I have gone with the Tanya Burr Lip gloss in First date. I thought this would be very pink and unflattering, but this is amazing on top of Pink Pout, this is the perfect pink combo. I tend to wear this more when I feel more in a pink mood, rather than nude. But you can sheer the lipstick and apply the lip gloss with a brush for a much more natural pink.

High end//

This was very easy for me, this has been my go to nude/peachy pink. It consists of Mac's Lipstick in Angel this is a perfect nude with some shimmer/shine because this is a frost finish. You could wear this alone but I pair it with a lip gloss for a more intense full look. My Lip gloss I have chosen is the Chanel Lip gloss in Amour 166. These create the perfect peachy pink. I love this without the gloss aswell for a mire nude approach, the lip gloss isn't sticky and looks amazing.

February// Wishlist

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what blog post I wanted to do, and by the title you can tell it's not a tag. I thought I would do a current wishlist. This is just a few things I have been wanting lately.

Can I just say how stunning this Bikini is! This is so on trend this bikini is very 60's also High wasted bottoms is bang on trend for Summer and what gives this bikini more shape is the triangle cut outs, also the black trimming is very flattering because it adds shape, and the illusion of more shape.

I never thought I would want the Urban Decay Naked 3 pallete but the packaging for a start is stunning! the colours are very pink/rose gold tones. I think this is a very different pallet and is still very wearable.

I always want something from Mac, but I never thought it would be a brush? I am in love with my Real Techniques and Eco Tools brushes, but there is something about the 208 that I really want; Perfect for brows. Also my Mum has the Mineralize skin finish natural and I love it, I have had my eye on this for quite a while, I think I want it more because in the drugstore there isn't many mineralize powders (Comment below if you know of any). 

Also Burt's Bees is one of my favourite or my ultimate favourite for Lip Balms, I have seen this for a while but never really though about getting it. But I love tinted lip balms for everyday their so natural and just perfect for school.
