2014 Beauty Discoveries

Hello everyone,

Well I didn't really know what I wanted to talk about for blogmas today, but I got an idea of Anna's recent blog post (link), and thought what a brilliant idea it is. This means I am going to show you my favourite beauty discoveries of 2014, they are different to what I mentioned in my overall 2014 favourites, and their are 5!

My top 5 beauty discoveries of 2014...

Their would have been many more favourites but I didn't want to repeat myself through these two 2014 favourites posts. I would have mentioned more in this but some were already mentioned in my last post.

I am going to start off with my favourite beauty discoveries which is the Tarte amazonian clay blush, this is in the colour doll face. This is a beautiful soft matte pink, this is very wearable during any month and great for a everyday blush. But you can wear this during the evening if you was to pair it with a highlighter, like Mac's soft and gentle.

While I am on the topics of blush I will carry on with my second one, this is the Topshop cream blush in Illicit, I have tried their blush in head over hells and is less wearable. But this is a wearable brown/coral, which has some slight shimmer, perfect for the warmer months.

Onto powder, this is something I got in a set from Bare Minerals, and this is the bare minerals mineral veil. I was too sure what to make of this at the start, but I have turned out to love it. This is the original one and is great for making yourself look more awake, this is a very fine powder while being loose, you can dust this over your skin look more glowing. While it isn't the most travel friendly, because it's loose it does really make a difference and is worth the hassle in the morning without it flying every where.

I couldn't go without mentioning this lipstick from Mac, this is creme cup in the picture, but released I talked about that in my last post. But I am going to talk about this and Angel, Creme Cup is a great your lips but better colour, where as Angel in still wearable but has more pink in the colour. It all depends what you prefer, pink then Angel or coral/nude then Creme cup.

Lastly onto a hair care product, this is the Dove Oxygen Moisture root lift spray. I heard Amelia Liana mention this in a video/blog post and said it was amazing. And long story short I agree with that comment, I have fine hair that hasn't got the best volume at times, but this changes that. It makes my hair look full and bouncy; I spray this into the roots of damp hair, then blow-dry it or let it dry naturally; I get the same outcome and it looks like I am have paid £50 for a professional blow dry.

101// High End Favourites

Hello everyone,

Today I wanted to do a post around high end makeup, I fell I haven't done a post dedicated to high end makeup for quite a while. But today I have a post for you about my top 5 high end favouirtes, I think if your going into high end these are 5 must have products for you!

1. My first high end is something I have had for around a year and this is the Mac Studio Fix powder, I have the colour NC15. This is a medium coverage powder that I use to set my makeup in place, this takes away shine, blurs imperfections and makes your makeup look flawless. (£21.50 Link)

2. Next is the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade, I reccomend this and Soft and Gentle. This is a very natural highlight this looks stunning for everyday, this is subtle but effective. Soft and Gentle is a gold shimmer, this is more bold great for the evening or everyday with the high blush. (£23 Link)

3. I have to mention this even though it's hard to get hold of in the UK. But this is the Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in Dollface. This is the perfect light pink which is Matte. This is very subtle and look amazing for everyday, this is my go to blush. ($26 - £16 Link)

4. High end mascara doesn't take my fancy because Maybelline are on point with mascaras. But this mascara has changed my life, this is the Benefit They're Real Mascara, this makes my lashes look like lash extensions, very natural but gives you everything you want in a mascara, put it this way I have about 4 of these two full size and the rest mini's, if that doesn't show a low for a mascara I don't know what does. (£19.50 Link)

5. Another thing from Benefit, this is the Brow Zings. Brows is so important because it frames your face, this is why I spend more money on brows because they make a difference. I love this because it can be natural but well defined. I have the colour light for reference. (£24.50 Link)

May Favourites 2014

Hello everyone,

I am finally doing a monthly favouirtes but it's on time for once! I was going to do my Summer essentials. But I have a few of my favouirtes for you today that I have been loving through out the end of April to today!

My monthly favouirtes!

My first favouirte has to be the Loreal Nutri Gloss Crystal Shampoo and Conditioner. I have been loving this for quite a while now, this makes me hair so silky and shiny! It smells amazing aswell and I love buying this partially because it's pink haha!

I have had this perfume for ages now since February and I have used i every day since, this is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Oh So Fresh, this is amazing for everyday and this has been my everyday or 'signature scent'.

I have been weirdly sniffing this candle for about a few weeks now and I decided to burn it. This is the Bomb Cosmetics Blissful Rest candle, this is a weird one to describe but it has a hint of lemon/citrus in it, and I am in LOVE with citrus.

Onto my makeup favouirtes, these are things I use everyday and I love them so much. The first thing is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface, this is great for everyday and it's matte so it goes with more or less every look. My next one is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer, before I brought this I had 3 benefits boxed powders and Hoola was the one I would always put off buying but I love this and is great for contouring for fair skin. My last makeup favourite is the Benefit Brow Zings, I am so glad I brought this I love it so much and again put off buying it, I am in love and use it everyday great for defining your brows.

My last favouirte is a Technology one and this is my Kindle Paperwhite, I got this around two years ago and lately decided to give it some juice and I have not been putting it down since. My case is from WH Smiths and if you are wondering I am reading the Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime, this is an amazing book and hand down my favourite, I have had it for two years and just got half way. :/

Random//

Now for some random favourites to start off with I have to mention some TV favourites, I have been loving Eastenders, Coronation Street and Ex on the beach. I highly reccomend these! For some food favouirtes I have been obsessed with the Mini Fabs, Mr Freeze ice and Milky Bar ice lollies, there is something about them being small, I guess you feel your not eating as much either! Last of all is Music favourites they are Foxes, I love Let's go for tonight, Youth and Holding on to heaven. The Coldplay I watched there BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend performance and they were amazing I love Yellow, Clocks, Paradise and A sky full of stars. I got to see Coldplay at the Summer Time Ball in 2012 and I am so happy I did they were amazing/ out of this world.

The Perfect Cheek// High end & Drugstore

Hello everyone,

When I am doing my makeup their is one things that really transforms the look and that is the cheeks; Contour, Blush and Highlight. This is why I have picked out my favourite cheek products from High end to Drugstore.

Drugstore//

Drugstore cheek products

When using my drugstore cheek look I always use the same products. For Contour or Bronzer I prefer using the Bourjois Bronzing Powder (51) (the chocolate one). I thin this is great for bronzing up the skin and perfect for a contour. They only thing I have with this, if you are pale be very light handed because this can look quite dirty. - £6.99

Then for cheek I have gone for a Cream Blush, this is my favourite cream blush and it's the Max Factor Miracle Touch Cream Blush in Soft Pink. This gives you a perfect matte finish. You can build this up and soften it, it looks perfect for a no makeup, makeup look. - £6.99

For highlighter I don't have too many Drugstore favourites. Also that is one thing I don't see that much compared to high end brands. But I really like the Me Me Me Beat the blush sunbeam highlighter. This is a dupe for the Benefit Moon Beam highlighter. This is very good for a bronze look, I only like to use this on the brow bone. But a little goes a long way with this, also too much can look quite harsh. - £5.50

High end//

High end Cheek products

For me it was very hard to choose between Benefit Hoola and Nars Laguna. But I picked Nars Laguna Bronzer, because it looks perfect every time and you don't have any harsh line. It blends perfectly and looks amazing all the time. - £26.00

For Blusher I picked a matte, this is Tarte Amazolian Clay 24Hr Blush in Dollface. This is the perfect pink, it's matte and looks amazing on so many skin tones. I love this blush so much. - $26 (Tarte is sold at QVC, but not the blusher, Selected products only).

For highlighter I was deciding between Mac Mineralize Skin finish in Lightscapade or Soft and Gentle. But Lightscapade is better for everyday and looks more natural. This is amazing for fair complexions, I love this the most with a matte blush. Because it never looks over the top. - £22.00

Haul// Sephora

Hello everyone,

I was meant to do this post yesterday or Friday but I was too tired, and I think it's worth the waite. My Uncle was coming over from America (he lives in San Francisco) and I kindly asked him to bring me a few things over from Sephora. I am over the moon with them.

Sephora Transparent Brown gel

There is one thing you should know about me and that is I love Brows, It's my favourite part of doing my makeup, and I love trying new products and you will see that in this haul. I was browsing the Sephora website and I haven't tried any brow gels, I have clear mascaras but not a specific brow gel. I was also drawn to this because it is waterproof. This was $12.00 (Click here)

Benefit box powder - Hoola

I am such a big fan of Benefit boxed powders, and this is one I have always had my eye on, Hoola is such a well known Benefit product. This is more of a Bronzer and it's matte. I decided to ask for this because it's slightly cheaper in America. But I also had no intention of buying it here for some reason or another. This is $28.00 (Click here)

Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush - Dollface

This for me is one of the most exciting products, I knew I wanted this because Essiebutton done a (blog post) on Tarte blushers and just made me want one even more. I decided to ask for a natural one because I wanted to wear it everyday, this is a light pink and looks so natural on the skin. Also I knew the packaging was nice, but it's stunning I love how the Amazon river is embossed into the blush. Also I love that the colour of the blush is the colour of the packaging. This is $26.00 (Click here)

Anastasia Brow powder duo - Medium Brown

This is another thing I was really excited for! I got the Anastasia brow powder duo I got the colour Medium brown. I got this colour based on swatches and I would rather go light that darker. And this turned out to be a good match. I love the packaging it's very compact and would be great for traveling, I also love that it looks like a record player disc. This is $23.00 (Click here)

Anastasia Brow wiz - Soft Brow

What did I say, yet another brow product! I knew I wanted this aswell because Pixiwoo use this and I trust there opinion and they love it. I haven;t used this yet but I am so excited to. This has really nice packaging and comes with a amazing brush, this is also retractable and I can't waite to use this! This is $21.00 (Click here)

Also you can get the Anastasia Brow powder duo and Brown wiz on Cultbeauty.co.uk (Click here and here)
